Mistra Council for Evidence-Based Environmental Management

By means of systematic reviews of the scientific evidence in different areas, EviEM is seeking to improve the basis for environmental decision-making in Sweden. Topics for review can be suggested by public agencies, decision-makers and other stakeholders.

Events during the year
  • The Council published its first systematic review, on the impacts of reindeer grazing on mountain vegetation.

  • A decision was taken to hold the first international conference of the Collaboration for Environmental Evidence (CEE) in Stockholm in 2016, on the theme of ‘Better Evidence, Better Decisions, Better Environment’.

  • Lisa Sennerby Forsse took over from Thomas Rosswall as chair of EviEM’s Executive Committee.

  • A decision was taken to make the Stockholm Environment Institute EviEM’s new host from the beginning of 2016.
